QLB Series / QLH Series / QLL Series / QCB Series / QRB Series / Special Options
Q Microwave offers Custom Filters and Standard Filter Product Series. Special product lines that address specific industry requirements are available for review under our Key Product Lines. Typical delivery time for prototype filters range from 2 to 6 weeks with up to same-day service available in urgent situations.
STANDARD FILTER PRODUCTS
Q Microwave´s catalog parts are initially categorized by topology (lumped element, combline, or ceramic resonator) and then again by filter function (bandpass, lowpass, or highpass). Q Microwave has developed a Design Tool to assist our customer in developing an appropriate specification for their specific filter requirement. With a desired filter specification, you can either forward your requirements to our
sales team or follow the below Q-Series links to determine standard part numbers and specifications.
-
Lumped Element Filters - Q Microwave´s miniature lumped-element filter capability extends the full frequency range of our capability: 20 MHz to 20 GHz. The principal advantage of this type of filter is its small size. Disadvantages include higher loss for a given rejection requirement. Typical prototype delivery is 2 to 4 weeks.
-
Combline Filters - Q Microwave´s standard combline filters are available from 1 to 20 GHz. The primary advantage of combline filters is the low loss and high rejection capabilities. Disadvantages include large size and weight compared to lumped element filters. Typical prototype delivery is 4 to 6 weeks.
-
Ceramic Resonator Filters - Q Microwave´s ceramic resonator filters offer the middle ground in performance between lumped-element filters and combline filters over the range of 500 MHz to 6 GHz. The standard product is provided in an SMT package. Typical prototype delivery is 4 to 6 weeks.
KEY PRODUCT LINES
Q Microwave offers several product lines or filter categories that are targeted at specific microwave and wireless industry requirements. The following product line summaries are provided as solutions to typical customer requirements:
-
5.8 GHz Filter Product Line (PDF file) - Developed in response to demand by wireless LAN and other ISM-band system designers. Current products include our streamlined basestation filter and our miniature microstrip-launched filter.
-
3.5 GHz Filter Product Line (PDF File) - Developed in response to demand by wireless LAN and other ISM-band system designers. Current products include high-performance and standard-performance ceramic filters.
- Microstrip-Launched Filter Product Line (PDF File) - The streamlined packaging and interconnect technology offered by Q Microwave's Microstrip-Launched Filters make these devices the ultimate choice for filter integration requirements. Additional details regarding the "microstrip advantage" are provided by following this link.
- Surface Mount Filters (PDF File) - Q Microwave offers three principal methods for surface mount configurations: SMT, Leaded Surface Mount, and Microstrip-Launched packaging. Open the PDF file for additonal details.
CUSTOM FILTER PRODUCTS
Should Q Microwave´s standard filters not meet your requirements, custom specifications are gladly accepted for quotation. Details regarding Q Microwave´s engineering capabilities are provided below. If you are ready to submit a custom requirement, please proceed to Q Microwave´s
Request for Quotation Webform. Guidance concerning filter selection is available for review in our
Design Tool section.
Engineering Design Capabilities - Q Microwave's filter capabilities address the spectrum of 20 MHz through 20 GHz in a variety of custom configurations. These capabilities are summarized in the following two tables:
